Richard Vogels, MAI - Retired

DickDick is a Wisconsin Certified General Appraiser and holds the MAI (Member Appraisal Institute) designation from the Appraisal Institute.  He became an appraiser in 1974 after being a Real Estate Broker doing sales, development, management and consulting since 1967.

In 1989, Dick and Mary Buckman, SRA started Vogels Buckman Appraisal Group, Inc. with Dick as President and Mary as Vice-President. In December of 2011, Mary acquired full ownership of the firm and is now the President.

Dick has led the Commercial Department of Vogels Buckman since the company began. He has completed appraisals and acted as a consultant on commercial and industrial properties through the years, both existing and proposed construction. Property types have included retail, professional offices, medical clinics, restaurants, supper clubs, multi-family, warehousing and manufacturing as well as special purpose properties including nursing homes, schools and churches. Many vacant land parcels have been valued including development tracts, agricultural, waterfront, marsh and wasteland. He has also valued land leases.

Condemnation work for right of way acquisition for either the acquiring agency or the property owner has been part of his work.. Various governmental clients have included the U.S. Government, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Internal Revenue Service, the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Postal Service. In addition, the State of Wisconsin, the University System, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, the Department of Natural Resources, the Bureau of Aeronautics and various cities, villages, and communities in the metro Green Bay and the Fox Valley areas have been clients.

Dick has completed appraisals for financing, potential sale purposes, partial interests including lessors and lessees, tax appeal, insurance purposes and estates. He has provided evaluations and analyzes to clients for a variety of problem solving and decision-making situations.
